The SL-300 Series of batteries are designed for use in applications with low current drains with long stands. They can also be used where intermittent discharge with medium current level provided the average is not below the active current level. With an extremely low self-discharge rate of 1% or less per year, the shelf life is up to 10 years.
A number of these batteries are to be replaced with the streamlining of products supplied by Tadiran, these changes are as follows:
SL340/P is to be replaced by the SL840/P
SL389/P is to be replaced by the SL889/P
SL386/P is to be replaced by the SL886/P
