SL2700 Series - (iXtra) for fast voltage recovery after long term storage and/or use
The iXtra series cells are the latest development from Tadiran improving on the existing SL-700 series. They can provide higher voltage under pulse load even with low background currents and have improved voltage delay behaviour at ambient and elevated temperatures.
Improvements in reducing the passivation effect of Lithium cells during storage mean that these cells have a fast voltage recovery after long term storage.
Along with these improvements the cells have a higher capacity and a higher discharge rate than their predecessors. Further advances in cell design have meant that these cells do not suffer from orientation effect; previously cells suffered reduced capacity if used on their side, however these cells do not suffer from this and their capacity will remain the same however the cell is oriented during operation.
