Our very first order was to repair a simple battery pack for a chap who had a rechargeable calculator that he was particularly attached to, he had phoned all over the place and was told he was wasting his time and should throw it away and buy a new one. Needless to say he persevered and found us. Over the years we have repeated this story hundreds of times over, refurbishing everything from shaver batteries to rechargeable toothbrush batteries and radio batteries. We are proud to say that no problem is too small and that often it is just the challenge of doing it. If it is possible then we will always have a go. Not every order leads to another order but you never know.

We get asked by many people to refurbish their battery packs. It maybe that the original battery is now out of production, it may be available but not cost effective to purchase because it has to be imported from another country. Often people get told that the only option is to throw it away and renew the whole product. There are a whole host of reasons why people want to keep their equipment working and many are over the moon when then find a company like ours who will take the time and trouble to at least have a go.

Refurbishment basically means that we carefully take the battery apart and replace the old cells with new cells. Sometimes the pack is simply sleeved, sometimes it in a custom case which the original manufacturer has thoughtfully secured with screws. These are generally simple to refurbish. Others times the case has been ultrasonically welded together and this can prove more difficult. Often the case will prise open with care and can be re-glued without any damage. Sometimes the case can be damaged and may not look pristine when re-glued but at least it is functional.
