Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) have been around
for nearly 30 years and the technology has developed greatly since there
introduction. PLC devices now form a part of complex control and automation
networks using high-tech hardware and software.
As with any electronic equipment, PLCs need a
power supply and in order to make them portable battery power is needed.
There are a vast range of PLCs available on the market and therefore
there are a wide range of different batteries used to power these devices.
We are currently researching PLC batteries and building
up a database of batteries for a number of PLCs available on the
market today from the following manufacturers:
Allen Bradley, Cutler Hammer, GE Faunc, Siemens, Texas
Instruments
Examples of a number of popular PLC batteries are listed
