This is one of the two higher power desktop power supplies from Ansmann with a rated power of 35W. It is a switch mode regulated power supply which means that the oputput voltage is regulated by the supply itself which means you can be assured the output voltage is at the level selected. It aso means that it can be used worldwide.

Unlike other universal power supplies which have a voltage selector switch, this power supply comes with a range of mini plugs (jumpers) rated to the various voltages which is inserted into the power supply to select the required output voltage.

This power supply is suitable for sensitive applications but care needs to be taken if EMF radiation levels are important. This power supply is also much lighter than a linear power supply.

The housing is rated at IP40, is insulated to 3.75kV primary and secondary, insulation class II, and has built in short circuit protection, over heat protection, and overload protection. Ripple noise from this power supply is <100mV and the inrush current is limited to 20A for a cold start. It will also operate in a humidity range of 30% ...95%.
