The BASIC 4 PLUS is a universal plug-in charger from ANSMANN.
It is one of their entry level chargers with a little added extra. It can charge AAA, AA, PP3 NiCd/NiMh cells with separate charge process for each individual battery inserted. Basically, like with some entry level chargers, they will only charge if you put 2 or 4 batteries in, this charger will happily charge just one battery at a tilme.
The BASIC 4 PLUS has automatic matching of charge current for the inserted cells and indicates that the battery is charging: Green light for AA or AAA batteries and a Red light for PP3 (9V) batteries.
It has reverse-connection protection so your cells will not get damaged if inserted the wrong way round.
There is no end of charge indication with this charger so you need to use the formula in the cahrger manual to calculate how long you need to leave the batteries in the charger.
The BASIC 4 PLUS charge currents are:
AAA: 50mA,
AA: 150mA,
PP3: 15mA.
which will charge your cells in approximately 11-22 hours (depending on capacity).
