This is one of the two middle range desktop power supplies from Ansmann, suited for low to medium voltage and low to medium current applications. It is a switch mode regulated power supply which means that the oputput voltage is regulated by the supply itself which means you can be assured the output voltage is at the level selected. It aso means that it can be used worldwide.

This makes is suitable for sensitive applications but care needs to be taken if EMF radiation levels are important. This power supply is also much lighter than a linear power supply.

The housing is rated at IP40, is insulated to 3.75kV primary and secondary, insulation class II, and has built in short circuit protection, over heat protection, and overload protection. Ripple noise from this power supply is <100mV.

Applications: digital cameras, camcorders, pocket computers, MP3 players, laptops, cordless phone cradels and other non-mobile applications.
